Full job description
The Architectural Technician will play a critical role in supporting architectural projects through the development of technical drawings, models, and documentation. This position involves working closely with architects, engineers, and other team members to create detailed construction documents, ensuring compliance with industry standards and building codes. The role requires strong technical skills, proficiency in architectural software, and a solid understanding of building materials, construction methods, and regulations.
Drawing and Documentation: Produce detailed architectural drawings, plans, sections, and elevations using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
3D Modeling: Develop and present 3D models of architectural designs for visualization and presentation purposes.
Project Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to gather project specifications, resolve design issues, and ensure construction feasibility.
Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with local and national building regulations, zoning laws, and industry standards.
Site Surveys: Conduct site visits and surveys to gather data, assess project conditions, and verify dimensions.
Technical Support: Provide technical assistance throughout the project lifecycle, from concept through to completion.
Quality Control: Review and refine technical drawings for accuracy, quality, and constructability.
Documentation Management: Organize and manage all project documents, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records are maintained.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: R35 000,00 - R45 000,00 per month
