PACKAGING WORLD has a vacancy for a Junior Millwright. This position is based in Westmead, Pinetown.
The successful incumbent will be responsible to perform maintenance duties as per requirements of the company.
1. Preventative Maintenance
1.1. Perform preventative Maintenance as per procedure 4.7.1.
1.2. Complete required documents as per procedure 4.7.1.
1.3. Ensure that Safety Standards are maintained and that he/she wears the correct PPE at all times.
2. Breakdown Maintenance - Including Building Infrastructure
2.1. Perform repairs to any General breakdowns – Procedure 4.7.1
2.2. Perform a root cause analysis on breakdowns to prevent future downtime.
2.3. Complete all nesacary documentation in regards to breakdwns.
2.4. Complete all tasks timeous and without reoccurring falts.
2.5. Ensure that Safety Standards are maintained and that he/she wears the correct PPE at all times.
3. House Keeping – Factory and Workshop
3.1. Keep Facory & Workshop free and clear of obstructions.
3.2. Ensure department is fully compliant with BRC requirements.
3.3. Ensure worksop is neat and tidy at all times.
4. General
4.1. Provide training to Maintenance team and operators where needed
4.2. Assist team members with their duties when required
4.3. Complete all required documentation
4.4. Perform any duties given by management within reason to your normal Duties.
Qualifications
· Grade 12 or equivalent
· Minimum 3 – 5 years in manufacturing environment or Technician industry related
· Trade skill in either of the following: Electrical, Mechanical, Fitter, Refrigeration or Instrumentation
. On the job training will be performed by Senior team members
Skill and Knowledge Requirements
· Ability to work in a highly pressurized environment
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship
. Able to work shifts, including night and weekend
