Debt collector- Durban Trafalgar’s Durban branch is looking for a driven, dynamic & proactive candidate with a passion for the property industry, to join our team as a Debt Collector. The candidate must have excellent communication skills, possess great attention to detail and work well under pressure to join their vibrant team. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Communicating through various channels, including telephone, letters, and legal proceedings, to collect overdue levies. Reconciliation of accounts & allocation of payments Maintaining debtor account flagging without gaps on arrear units Meeting daily and monthly call targets for both incoming and outgoing calls within your budget. Participating in meetings with managers to review debt collection progress. Achieving 24h turnaround time Minimum Requirements: Matric certificate Computer Literacy (Microsoft Word & Excel) Prior experience as a debt collector essential. Two years' experience in a legal environment as a collection clerk or paralegal added advantage. Legal secretary experience advantage Accounting knowledge added advantage Understanding of the Debt Collections Act and procedures an added advantage.
