Learning Specialist - Jhb DESCRIPTION: The Learning Specialist will report to the Learning and Development Manager and DEI Lead, and he/she will support business unit learning needs by implementing learning solutions. KEY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES: Contribute to the diagnosis, design and roll-out of development plans. Coordinate learning events and meetings (planning, logistics and administration). Create program materials (cards, games, presentations, posters, facilitator guide). Contribute to partnership with external providers/consultants/experts/certified trainers. Use internal learning processes and tools (One Profile, People Analytics, ALLHR, etc). Use internal data and metrics to drive learning activity and support HRBP’s and GM’s with monthly and quarterly reporting taking into account KPI’s for learning hours and mandatory learning. Track Learning budgets and expenses. Communicate locally on learning offers and activities in alignment with L’Oréal standards. PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES: TALENT DEVELOPMENT - Empowers and engages Talents. Develop and retain the right employees with the right skills and potential to secure sustainable high performance of the business through employee development, career building and succession planning. Leverage the right tools and methods to evaluate employees’ skills, mindset, abilities, expertise and potential to perform specific tasks/jobs/projects current or future. Master key success factors and solutions for Talent inclusion. Ensures Talent policy implementation. LEARNING EXPERTISE - Creates a unique learning experience. Delivers & facilitates Learning events with engaging presentations and tools to embed understanding of topics. Designs & evaluates Learning Solutions with the correct pedagogical approach. Storytelling. Engage an audience by leveraging emotion, logic and values. Data analysis. Activation excellence. Deploy the strategy at scale on the target scope, co-ordinate execution from end to end, and monitor results to adjust accordingly. Budget compliance. BUSINESS DRIVEN - Translates L’Oréal challenges into Learning strategy. Matches learning solutions with HR & business needs. Stays focused on customer experience. Master how to run Learning as a business. Change adoption activation. Leverage network of advocates, key users and early adopters to spread knowledge and skills to sustain momentum at scale. Culture transmission. Sharing the specificities of L’Oréal culture without personal bias. Eventing. Planning, organizing and executing digital, physical or hybrid events while respecting our Sustainability commitments. ADVISORY CAPABILITIES - Delivers unmistakable value. Diagnoses needs & construct development plans. Coaching conversations. Leverage coaching techniques for meaningful understanding of needs Accompanies management to implement change. Mobilizes key stakeholders to ensure Learning efficiency. EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Learning and Development Management role. A Learning and Development and/or Facilitation qualification or related would be advantageous. Ability to draw and implement internal Individualized Learning Plans (ILP). Presentation skills (Online & Offline) a must. Excellent communication skills. Ability to create an inclusive learning atmosphere. The ability to research and professional development. The ability to stay current with research and best practices in education, continuously improving their own knowledge and skills to better serve L’Oréal employees.
