LOCATION: Johannesburg East, Gauteng SALARY AND BENEFITS: R 400 000 – R 500 000 p/a DESCRIPTION / SYNOPSIS: Well established plastic manufacturer requires an experienced professional to join their company as a Power BI Analyst. The successful candidate will gather and analyze data to determine problem areas in company processes and recommend solutions. You will also assist in analyzing production costs and recommending changes. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12 Relevant Degree or Diploma Power BI course 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role Good financial knowledge Ability to code in Power BI RESPONSIBILITIES: Gather relevant data from company resources Analyse data to determine problem areas in company processes Recommend solutions to reduce or eliminate issues and increase profitability Create reports for presentation to upper management, specifically for Power BI Gathers business intelligence from a variety of sources including company data, industry and field reports, public information or purchased sources Developing cost standards for materials and labour Analysing production costs and recommending changes Overseeing monthly/annual physical inventory Training and supervising cost and inventory staff Prepare and assist with budgeting reports (for the company and for each department) Assisting in month-end and year-end closing Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions Compiles business intelligence or trends to support actionable recommendations Identifying the development needs for the purpose of streamlining and improving the operations of the organisation for efficiency and profitability
