A world-class, state-of-the-art vehicle manufacturing facility is looking to appoint a Brand Analyst – Medium Traditional Utilities.
The position is responsible to achieve all Product Marketing deliverables through knowledge and understanding of the customer requirements, competitive environment, motor industry and segmentation of vehicles.
This position works closely with the Brand Manager on strategic product launch planning and sustainment actions to meet nameplate share and volume objectives. Support function to Brand Manager to ensure successful management of vehicle portfolio including sales, competitive and market analysis. Maintenance of product information to support the sales and marketing communications functions.
Requirements: Relevant Qualification along with 3 years automotive experience preferred incl experience with Product Portfolio. Previous Product and Brand Marketing experience will be beneficial. Advanced PC skills including Excel (Pivots, Graphs etc) & PowerPoint preparing presentations. Event and Project management skills will be advantageous. Experience working multiple business disciples, different cultures, and time zones

The position has two fold responsibilities: Product related matters (Current & future programs) and Brand Marketing associate items (Current programs)
Job description / core competencies:
Responsible for communicating the Voice of the Customer input and achieving all Product Marketing Deliverables for future model programs.
Analysis and interpretation of research and studies to understand Consumer requirements.
Subject matter expert on the current and future segment and competitive set at the Vehicle Line Level.
Support Product/Brand Marketing Manager on assigned product related studies, questions, contribution margin improvement actions, complexity reduction actions, and product reviews at vehicle line level.
Support the Market Equation deck development that includes product, packaging, pricing actions, as well as program volumes and take rates to maximize customer desirability and company/dealer profitability.
In-Market Product Marketing expert through relevant milestones.
Collect and maintain market/competitive data on assigned vehicle lines.
Lead regular cadence of information sharing meetings.
Support Cycle Plan studies and input.
Support vehicle attribute analysis which impacts Financials.
Drive Product Feature accuracy for South Africa.
Support Consumer marketing & PR departments with technical data and launch material.
Work closely with the Product/Brand Marketing Manager in the development and review process of retail and brand campaign requirements, brochures, dealership collateral and ATL and BTL advertising collateral throughout the product life cycle.
Work closely with the Product/Brand Marketing Manager and Advertising Agency in the development and implementation of Brand marketing campaigns to achieve the budgeted wholesale and retail volumes for nameplates.
Responsible for the local Take to Market process/launch planner for new nameplates, Special Interest Vehicles (SIP) and new features launches, works with the Product/Brand Marketing Manager to coordinate/implement flawless launches including events.
Understand product and brand positioning, and drive research to identify core customers per models for demographics and attitudes.
Work closely with the Brand Manager on strategic product launch planning and sustainment to meet nameplate share and volume objectives.
Close interaction and support to the Aftersales Accessories department to ultimately offer customer product wants/needs.
Work closely with Aftersales team to promote vehicle Protect offering and messaging benefits across owned and paid customer facing channels.
Lead internal nameplate launch and product communications in line with regional and local launch timings.
Website management: 100% accuracy. Timely and accurate supply of nameplate content. Do monthly spot checks/update of model specs on website and implement changes immediately. Supply and update accurate nameplate content i.e. product updates, derivative additions, copy, pricing, specs, imagery on a frequent basis.
Assist the Training Department to ensure current and new product material is relevant, updated and will help in improving product knowledge.
Support Dealer/Fleet network awareness on all nameplate product and cycle running changes via timeous communication of Dealer Bulletins.
Provide input/feedback for regular presentations i.e. Training, media launches and fleet activities etc.
Implement activities around sponsorships and other team projects including pre-launch and launch initiatives and events, Special Vehicle Programmes etc and find opportunities to leverage these.
Work proactively with the Brand Manager and the Social Media Specialist to monitor and respond to customer queries generated through the call centre and social media channels.
Work closely with Social Media lead to proactively provide relevant hygiene content in line with proposed launch and sustainment campaigns.
Work closely with Product Programs teams to track and perform required system updates/communications pertaining to new product updates impacting vehicle spec, pricing and ordering systems.
Lead and update Annual Pricing deliverables for relevant programs. Close interaction and supported to & by Finance

Qualifications and experience:
Degree/National Diploma/B-Tech incl. Commerce, Marketing or related field.
3 years automotive experience preferred incl. experience with Product Portfolio. Previous Product and Brand Marketing experience will be beneficial.
