Durban - A leading Manufacturing company seeks an experienced Account Manager to manage key accounts. Strong Print/Packaging industry experience.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Account Manager will be responsible for managing key accounts for the business. He/she will be responsible to achieve the agreed targets of sales and profitability for the assigned customer (s) in his/her region and to maintain and develop a sustainable relationship with these customers. They will drive the development and implementation of the respective customer's strategy. He/she is responsible for driving results into the business (sales, margins, receivables and inventories).
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Tertiary qualification in Sales/Marketing/Business Management.
Proven sales experience within Printing and Packaging industry
MIN. 5 years working exp. with large corporate/multi- national accounts.
Candidates who have previous experience in dealing with Multinational FMCG companies would be advantageous.
ERP experience and good understanding of processes (Orders, Planning, Stock Control and Deliveries).
Account management through utilizing world class account management techniques to deliver required results through targeted customers.
A holistic understanding of the Customers and the Market to provide sustainable printing solutions that increase the Company's turnover, by exploiting a strong influence and excellent rapport with customers.
Strong account management skills, the ability to interact with external multi-functional teams.
Solid financial skills to be fully operational to analyse own Gross Margins, Selling Prices and Bill of Materials, in order to deliver against agreed Customer targets.
Manage own Customer Pricing Negotiations in order to achieve agreed Business Targets.
Good relations with Internal and External customers and appropriate to the companies values and policy.
Constant maintenance of customer account plans and correspondence, sales performance & industry news.
