Job Title: Senior Actuary (Group Actuarial and Risk)
A diversified financial services group specialising in Finance, Investments and Life Insurance has an opening for a Senior Actuary, who will assist the Chief Actuary with valuations in a financial services institution. Responsible for premium rates and all other statutory valuation work.
Assist with developing and improving non-covered business analysis of GEV Present results at a senior level with key findings and issues, including reasons for variances to forecasts and prior periods.
Effectively collaborate with businesses (actuarial teams) and other specialist areas.
Extract insights and understand the drivers of key financial, capital and risk metrics at business level and how it impacts the Group.
Manage the coordination, consolidation and preparation of the financial, capital and risk metrics for quarterly internal Group ORSA reporting combined with appropriate supporting analysis and commentary.
Assist with the preparation of regulatory returns and annual published Capital and Risk Management report for the Group and the Organisations Life Insurance.
Assist with on-going regulatory interaction, including ad hoc data requests, formal applications and notifications to the regulator and preparing for on site visits.
Group responses to new statutory and regulatory requirements, including participation in Group projects focused on financial reporting (e.g. IFRS17 and ICS).
6 years of actuarial experience.
Financial reporting or actuarial modelling experience.
Ability to understand complex or technical concepts.
Advanced Excel skills.
